ABOUT THE EVENT
New technologies in an increasing global society have strong and direct influence on health area professionals, especially those in the vigilance or regulatory sectors, as well as on those working in production, drugs regulation and sales, food, cosmetic and medical/pharmaceutical equipment and systems.
To discuss the most modern technological advances in the food area, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and products, with focus on the regulatory aspects is the objective of our 10th International Health Vigilance and Regulatory Professionals Congress, considered the biggest and most important event in the regulatory sector in Latin America
The event, promoted by the Brazilian Health Regulatory Professionals Association - ABPVS happens in December 2009, having as background the astounding beauty of the City of Maceió, State of Alagoas in the Northeast of Brazil, a place endowed with diverse, natural beauty, pristine beaches, and famous culinary and cultural diversity.
The place offers several leisure options and modern facilities for business, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, in a tropical setting.

These will be some of the themes to be discussed during the 10th International Congress, in addition to procedures for drugs regularization, food, cosmetics and medical/hospital equipment in Brazil and in other countries participating of the event.
The Congress will have the participation of authorities in sanitary vigilance from Latin America, United States, Canada and the European Union. Representatives from ANVISA - Brazilian Agency of Sanitary Vigilance, IDB and PAHO will also be present. Local state and municipal sanitary vigilance branches and centers will also take part in the event, along with speakers from several international institutions and other private sector professionals, providing for an encompassing vision of the regulatory environment in many parts of the globe.

ORGANIZATION
The Brazilian Health Regulatory Professionals Association - ABPVS is a not-for-profit (NGO) organization created in 1997 with the objective of promoting the modernization of the regulatory environment in Brazil and in Latin America. ABPVS offers training courses for professionals in the public sector and those in the private sector, encouraging a pro-active attitude of these professionals, boosting their self-esteem thereby promoting their professional valorization, through technology and working methods information exchange. |
